As some of u have already knew, i went to cambodia for 5 days with my family for CNY... hmm my review bout that country.. hmm.. i guess it wasnt really for me as i am more of a city gal.. but it was really interesting to see the lives of ppl living in a 3rd world country... some may say Malaysia is a 3rd world country.. but i will never categorise cambodia as our counterpart. but i have to say.. they are one heck of a talented population.. the kids there.. well.. at least those who were trying very hard to sell us stuffs.. they know at least 3 languages!.. khmer, english, french, mandarin, teochew, thai.. i think if the country is managed in a better way, their intelligence can really be put into good use!... just look at angkor wat.. this was built by them 800 yrs ago.. where there were no cranes, machines, tractors.. just elephants and their bare hands.. that is.... PHENOMENAL! no wonder it is called one of the 7 wonders of the world!
Apart from that, what made me like this trip so much is that the young people from our tour group are so friendly that we kinda formed a clique.. below is a picture of the young people clique ranging from age 30-19.. i am the youngest..hehe.. well the little boy... he was just there to join in the fun i guess.

one of them has to be our visit to one of the many torturing chambers around Cambodia.. the one we visited was a former school turned torturing centre.. the whole place. nobody has to tell you anything but u can just feel that place was a very sad sad place.. that tour guide explained alooot.. going from room to room explaining how they got killed and stuff.. but i didnt really listen to all cause it gets really hot and stuffy and frustrating when a bus of tourists gets stuck in a room listening to.. (for me...) really deep mandarin and fairly poor english. i hate it even more when other tourists that are not part of our tour (backpackers with their big backpacks) eavesdrop on us because they have no one to explain to them. my main reason to hate is.... they just.. shove u aside with their big asshole bag like u din pay to hear it.. and when the tour guide shows something interesting worth to be captured on camera.. they just barge infront.. wtcbfk! especially that stupid long hair japanese lady.. so sorry.. i have nothing against japanese.. but that's just how i call her!..

oh.. now i get why i didnt enjoy cambodia as much as vietnam... the people there are not.. very.. friendly.. including the tourists!.. they just show their true feelings!.. there was once when i almost wanted to buy a shirt.. but then i found out the sleeves will not look flattering on me cause of my flabby arms.. so i just told her my problem and said that i don want it anymore.. her face.. her smile.. turned from.. =) --> whatever smiley that indicates angriness.. she said.. "MISS.. U DON WANNA BUY???!?!" i was like.. "yea.. i don want it.. thanks.. " then i walked away.. as bitchy as i may be.. i am the one who is paying.. i get to say no or yes whenever i want to..
oh yea.. another reason that i don like it there .. it's the tourists' deceivers.. they can just act really kesian.. like they are gonna die the next minute if u dont buy anything from them.. but what is really sad is that when it comes to main destinations, kids will group up outside ur bus begging u to buy things from them.. and everywhere you see, it is one beggar after another.. for me, it is quite stressful to see such thing bcos i cant give them money as well.. cause if i give to one.. the beggars of the whole street may just come running after me and grab my hand, leg.. and whatever that is grab-able because they also want money.. well.. i can be exaggerating at times.. so just take whatever i say here and cut it into half.
ok.. am gonna stop complaining bout not-very-well-to-do country..
if you are looking for a destination to take really good photos, Angkor Wat and its neighbours (Bayon, Ta Promh, Sunset place..) are really a few of the best places.. but as for the sunset place.. the sunset i witnessed the other day has nothing much to boast about though.. i love my sunset to be eggyolk with plenty of eggwhite surrounding it.. this will create a wonderful colour combination.. but the sunset i saw.. hmm.. only the eggyolk.. so.. ok only ler..
Ta Promh or however u spell it, is the place where Tomb Raider was filmed.. i actually have gone to a place where Angelina Jolie went b4.. cooool. watever~ that place..is full of trees.. really really big trees!.. trees actually grow from the earth, thru the big stones, thru the structures.. so the govt is actually having a hard time maintaining this place .. as the trees are actually destroying the structure and the stones of the temple but they cant chop off the trees as they are over a few centuries old...and not to mention the main reason this place is special is bcos of... u guessed it.. the trees.. if they chop it off, it will auto lose it's heritage charm but if they just let things be, the trees are gonna go supersize me and the temple will lose it's structure.. hmm.. catch22..
like what i have mentioned somewhere in facebook, when u are in angkor wat, it doesnt matter whether u have the skill or bad/good camera (a better one is always recommended though).. u can just become a photographer there.. well in this case, a good spot and good angles and right timing is crucial!.. why i say right timing? shadows created by small pillars really depend on the time of the day, the position where the sun is shining. ok.. not sure if what i say here creates the effect of understanding.. but wht the heck.. =p
below is a picture i took of a monk who just happened to be there n i asked him to pose.. nope.. he is not a model but i think he surely felt like one. .cause photographers flock to them directing them to pose left and right.. front back center.. hehe..
i just love this picture!.. and i seriously can't thank him enuff for showing such calm serene expression!.. well... the picture i took b4 this picture shown here.. hehe.. it was ok.. it would be very very nice if his smile did not betray him..it is obvious he was trying very hard not to laugh!

PooiKwan, SauKuan, MienYee and Krystal have finally left for Australia to further their studies. i still remember the time when they were contemplating whether to go.. or not.. go or not.. hehe.. so now they have finally gone. leaving me.. here.. seriously when i was at home getting ready b4 going to the airport.. i thought that i am gonna cry seeing them leave.. but surprisingly.. i didnt. but i do have to admit there were certain moments when the tears started to form around my eyes.. then.. it just dried up.. KLIA aircon too strong i guess..
hehe MienYee did ask me.. "why u never cry wan?!" ... i also dunno how to reply.. it's not that i dont feel sad seeing them leaving me.. I DO..
i think it is bcos during my holidays i did not see them very much.. i had to work and all. and meeting each other sessions only come once every 2 weeks.. so.. i believe i got quite immune to not seeing them.. but no matter what.. they are the best best best best friends any girl could ever wish for!.. i will miss them like hell!.. but no worries.. i will be seeing them in 4 months time i hope.. MUakKSS!
as for Loris, hmm.. i will see u.. in MARCH!..
